COMMUNITY EVENTS
POST YOM HA’ATZMAUT CELEBRATION – Engagement after the Disengagement, Bella Levin will share her personal experience through art. This Motzei Shabbat, 9:15 PM at the home of Eva & Albert Derby, (712 Brittany Ln.) Refreshments will be served. Free admission.
PIRKEI AVOT – The Torah Kollel Mitzion has a family Pirkei Avot study group on Shabbos afternoon at 4:30 PM. Please look at their flier for more information.
EVER AGAIN – This Sun, May 7th at the Plaza Frontenac Cinema, there will be the premiere showing of the documentary, Ever Again by the Wiesenthal Center. This film documents the rise of anti-Semitism in the world as a function of the growing extremism in Muslim fundamentalism. For tickets call 878-3607 or 434-4483. The showing starts at 7:30 PM preceded by a desert reception.
DR.AVIVAH ZORNBERG – Biblical scholar, Dr. Avivah Zornberg will be speaking at Bais Avraham on Wed.,
May 10th at 7:30 PM. Her topic: “The Pit and the Rope: Joseph & Judah.” This event is cosponsored by our Women’s Division and our TKM.
