B’HATZLACHAWe bid farewell to the following young adults who will be studying in Israel in the coming year.  Yitzy Adelman, Shlomit Cohen, Donna Iken, Tova Esrig, Raphael Fulcher, Rena Garbow, Rachel Machefsky, Avi & Adiel Munk, Max Oppenheimer, Noah Pollack, Aharon Rosenbloom, Avi Rovinsky, Nechama Dena Simon, and Yaakov Zeffren. May their year of Torah study be a safe and successful one, filled with only wonderful experiences.

MEMBERSHIP DUES For people who owe a balance on their account, the balance is due NOW, especially if you still owe dues, dinner, and journal ad. The new billing for membership dues for the new fiscal year Sept. 1, 2006-Aug. 31, 2007 will be mailed soon.   Thank you!

 

GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING –Young Israel General Membership Meeting is this Tuesday, August 29th at 8:00 PM. The discussion will be on the operations and events during the interim period without a Rabbi.

 

COMMUNITY EVENTS

 

BAIS ABRAHAM CONGREGATION - Rabbi Chaim Brovender the Founder and President of ATID, Midreshet Lindenbaum, and the Rosh HaYeshivah of Yeshivat Hamivtar in Israel will be speaking at Bais Abraham Congregation this Shabbat August 26th at noon, and at a desert at 9 PM, on "Art and the Religious Experience.  Sunday August 27, at 10 AM, Nadine Cohen will be facilitating a workshop with clay for all ages on "Preparing for Tishuva Through the Creation of Clay Vessels" please call 721-3030 for more information. 

 

ST. LOUIS KOLLEL SUSHIthe Young Leadership Board of the St. Louis Kollel invites you to a Sushi Social and Art Exhibit on Sun., Aug 27th at the Regional Arts Commission, 6128 Delmar.  Renowned psychologist & lecturer, Rabbi Dr. Jerry Lob, will speak on “3 Steps to a More Joyous Marriage”. OHR ATID’S FAMILY WALK-A-THON & BBQ come to support the new “Include Me’ program to benefit children with special needs in our community’s Jewish Day Schools on Sun. ISRAEL CRISIS FUND- Please help the people of Israel.  When Hezbolleh attacked northern Israel, Jewish Federations of North America mobilized to provide emergency relief to tens of thousands caught in the terror of daily attacks.
