To Asher Fredman of New York on his engagement to Esther Maharat of Jerusalem.  Asher is the son of Steve and Adina Fredman, and the grandson of Aaron and the late Ruth Fredman and Chai and Rabbi Michael Shmidman of New York.  Esther is the daughter of Sasson and Alemnesh Maharat of Netanya, Israel.  An August wedding in Israel is planned.

FROM KIDS TO KIDS: A Night Of Many Stars

An organization dedicated to tzedakah, envisioned and created by our 5th and 6th grade boys, presents “A Night of Many Stars.” On April 12th, 9:15pm there will be a Voice and Rhythm benefit concert for Darfur.  A medley of Jewish and African music, a cappella and percussion, will be performed at Wydown Middle School, 6500 Wydown, Clayton.  Tickets are $18 for Adults and $12 for children under 12. There will be kosher food for purchase. Solar cookers can also be sponsored.  The evening promises to be an acoustic treat that unites our community musically while benefiting Darfur.  Come to Café Ami-- Our people’s café -- and be a part of Tikkun Olam.  Tickets are on sale through email: fromkidstokids@aol.com.  Or call 518-1438 for further information

 

Ohr Atid Family Walk & BBQ

Join Ohr Atid's Family Walk & BBQ, April 6th, at the JCC Wohl Building Weinberg Biblical Playground, supporting the "Include Me" program, benefiting children with special needs in our community's Jewish Day Schools. Registration is 10:30 am. 1K walk at 11 am. BBQ from 11:30 am to 2 pm. Cost is $5 per plate. There will be prizes and entertainment, and fun for the whole family!
