GABBAI CHANGING: With deep appreciation to Ben Zeff for his 5 years of service as Gabbai, we want to inform the community that Ben will be retiring from his responsibilities as Gabbai after Pesach, in order to spend more time with his children in Shul. Ben has served the Young Israel with distinction, devotion, and outstanding mentschlechkeit during these years. We greatly appreciate all that he has done, and continues to do, both in his position as Gabbai and behind the scenes. At the same time, we are very excited to announce that Marc Chervitz has graciously agreed to take over Ben’s responsibilities, and will be working closely with Danny and Ben during this transition. We are looking forward to working with Marc, and know that he and Danny will make an equally dynamic and successful team of Shabbat Gabbaim for our Shul. We want to take this opportunity also to thank our entire esteemed Gabbaim team of Elliott Franklin, Joel Garbow, Danny Wachsstock, Ben Zeff, and now the newest member of the team, Marc Chervitz, for their steadfast and outstanding commitment to the smooth running of all our minyanim throughout the year.
