AIPAC POLICY CONFERENCE 2013 YOUNG ISRAEL DELEGATION:Special Ye'yasher Kochachem to our Young Israel Synagogue Delegation at AIPAC Policy Conference 2013. We had 18 individuals, including 7 students, participate as part of our delegation this year, an outstanding achievement for our first effort. Thank you to our delegates: Jackie & Alan Gerson, Dr Dorit Dapha-Iken, Andy Koshner, David & Jill Mogil, Myra Peskin, David & Sharon Pollack, Rabbi Shulman, and our students: Andrew Adler, Ariel Baron, Shira Feen, David Iken, Aaron Koshner, Alex Peskin, Yael Simon, together with Rabbi Gershie Meisel. Everybody who attended felt exhilarated and inspired by the experience. Stay tuned for more information on opportunities to hear from our delegates, and to explore ways to get more involved.

SELLING CHOMETZ: Please contact the Rabbi to sell your chometz. Forms are available in your email, in the Beit Midrash, and in the lobby, and are due by Friday, March 22nd.

PESACH GUIDE: The 2012 Passover Guide from the Vaad Hoeir is now available on the Vaad’s website www.ovkosher.org.
VAAD TIMES: The community kashering of utensils (הגעלת כלים) will be in the Vaad parking lot, 4 Millstone Campus Drive, on Sunday, March 17th, 10 am – 6 pm and on Sunday, March 24th, 10 am - 6 pm. Kelim Mikvah: special arrangements have been made to have the Kelim Mikvah available for use (entrance by combination) on Sundays: 3/10, 3/17, 3/24 and 3/31/13. Please call the Vaad office for details.
TRASH DROP-OFF: A roll-off dumpster will be available again this year at the Recycling Drop-off Center, 975 Pennsylvania Avenue, from March 17 until Pesach.
BYHS BOYS TRIVIA & BASKETBALL: for BYHS & 8th grade boys, Sat night, March 9. Trivia: Girls School at 8:00 pm; Basketball: EHA gym at 9:30 pm. Cost: Free.
SHAIMOS COLLECTION: As a fundraiser, BYHS will be collecting shaimos on Sunday, March 17th, Noon-3 pm. Young Israel will be one of the drop-off locations. Jewish Student Union (JSU) GALA INSPIRE A JEWISH TOMORROW! March 9, 2013, at the Coronado Ballroom. Honoring Michael and Carol Staenberg, with special tribute to Rick Kodner and Gail Brody. The Meira Bresler Riemer Scholarship Fund will be inaugurated. Meira was passionately involved in inspiring the youth of both JSU and NCSY. This National fund, administered by the OU, has been established to provide these youth with opportunities to enhance their Jewish identity and love for Israel. JSU serves more than 700 teens in 11 high schools in the St. Louis area.
