The next Matil Ziril (Matilda Zeffren) Women's Shiur will be Shabbos/Shabbat Kedoshim at the home of Leila Biel at 4:30 PM. The featured speaker will be Rivka Serel Yaroslawitz Berkowitz, with brief remarks by Zippora Yaroslawitz.
We welcome the Petach Tikvah Yeshiva High School delegation to the FIRST Robotics Convention to our community. On Shabbos/Shabbat April 30th, we will have the opportunity to hear from their Rosh Yeshiva, Rav Shay Piron. Rav Piron is a prominent educator and public figure. He was formerly the Headmaster of the Yeshurun School and is among the founders and headmasters of the Hesder and High School Yeshivas in Petach Tikva. In 2004, he was a member of the government appointed Dovrat Commission for educational reform in Israel. He is one of the leaders of the Tzohar rabbinical community and an active member of numerous charitable organizations supporting special-needs populations. Rabbi Shay Piron is a Ph.D. candidate in law and serves as the community rabbi in his hometown, Oranit.

Notes on Davening
- We use the RCA Artscroll Ashekenazi siddur. Our baalei tefilla use either the Sephardic or Ashkenazi havarah, depending on their personal preferences.
- Our minhagim generally follow the Luach Ezras Torah.
- For Shabbos/Shabbat candlelighting times and exact times for mincha, please see the bulletin.
- On days school is not in session (summer and Chol Hamoed) there may be an additional Shacharis/Shacharit Shacharit minyan at 8 am; check the announcements.
- Legal Holidays are New Year's Day, Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and December 25th.
- On weekdays when the Torah is read, Shacharis/Shacharit follows the Monday-Thursday schedule.
- The actual algorithm for weekday mincha is 20 minutes before the earliest sh'kia for that week, rounded up to the next multiple of 5 minutes. The actual algorithm for mincha on erev Shabbos/Shabbat is candlelighting time, rounded down to the previous multiple of 5 minutes.
