Young Israel of St. Louis welcomes visitors and new members to our warm and vital shul. Committed to living Torah lives, fostering spiritual growth and supporting Israel, our Orthodox congregation provides daily and Shabbos/Shabbat davening as well as multiple learning opportunities for men, women and our youth. We strive to live by the principle of hachnassas/t orchim and would be pleased to offer home hospitality to any travelers coming to our St. Louis community. Located in the heart of the St. Louis eruv, Congregation Young Israel welcomes you.

Rabbi Moshe Shulman

Rabbi Moshe Shulman

Rabbi Shulman has Rabbinic Ordination from the Jerusalem Chief Rabbinate, and is a graduate of the Rabbinic Kollel and Sha'al Institute for Rabbinic and Educational Training of Yeshivas/Yeshivat Sha'alvim. Before joining Young Israel, he served as spiritual leader in Calgary and Toronto. His special interests include Tanach and the interaction of science, medicine and halacha.   • Teen Minyan

    Grades 7 through 12 are invited to a teen minyan beginning Parshat Beshalach, February 11, 2017.
    Davening begins at 9:45.

  • Tznius Fashion Swap

    May 21, 2017
    The St. Louis Tznius Fashion Swap is a chance to give and get gently used clothes and more. After the swap, Bigdei Yisrael will ship better items to Beitar, Beit Shemesh, Chevron, Elad, Elon Morah, Itamar, Kfar Tapuach, Kiryat Arba, Kryat Sefer, Tzfas and Yerushalayim. Bring your unwanted clothes, shoes and accessories to one of our drop offs.
  • Annual Dinner

    The honoree for the shul dinner are Rabbi Yaakov and Elisheva Green, Rabbi Naftali and Tali Rothstein, and Rabbi Daniel and Esther Freund, in recognition of their work in transforming the energy of chinuch in our community, and bringing newfound youthful spirit of Torah study into our own YI Bais/Beit Midrash!
